Long exposure or fast shutter speed

Apart from the reason that they dont alway need to be on the camera to use, whats better about them than the built in flash?

Im looking for apprenticeships but all I find is like wedding photography, is there no actual job like taking photos of scenery?

I've always enjoyed taking beautiful photos, and now I've gotten into photography, I want to know when too... I can't explain this well, but most of the photos I take, I think are pretty boring, my friends say they are good but I dont know.. How do you know when to take a great shot?

I never even thought about that haha, stupid me... I was just testing shots with water, but I needed more light...

When I have the built in flash on, the fastest shutter speed is 250, if I had a wireless flash, could I have the highest shutter speed which is 4000?
