Thankyou for the welcomes. As for the Tamron lens, for the price I am very happy with it. Fairly heavy, seems well built and is pretty quiet to me. Sharp shots can be had though it gets a little softer at the 300mm end and the vibration control works very well. Would happily reccomend this...
