    little confused

The mooon does move quite fast, when looking through my telescope at the surface am constantly turning the wheel of the tripod head to keep up. If I don't move the tripod head it doesn't take long before am staring at a black sky. Dave

    Jessops News

Digital is killing the retailer. I have a customer who spends £1000 to £1500 per year on film, they now want to buy a D700. Might make say £50 to £75 on the sale (if they buy extras like memory card, battery etc...). Won't buy lenses as they already shoot Nikon film so all the lenses will work...

Which basic kit to consider buying

Bowens 200 or 250 kits are very good value for money. If you want to spend a little bit more then go for the 500's. In the kit you get 2 heads, 2 umbrellas, 2 stands and a nice bag to carry it all in. Dave

    Which flash bracket for weddings

Jessops do a cracking side flash bracket for a tenner, remember to buy a extra nut for it though to go into your flash. It does come with a connector for the flash but don't know anyone thats used that bit. Dave

Flash for people who can't search or who haven't RTFM!

For night time, fairly close up stuff (full length). I use either 250 at 5.6 or 160 at F8. If I need the flash to recycle fast, I will go for the 5.6 option. I also manual focus at night, well actually I pre-focus my lens at a certain focal length and tape the lens up. Dave

    Umbrella's

Umbrellas are excellent for use with flash or studio lights. Ideally get a Silver, White and a shoot through one. That way you can find which is best for you and in different situations. Dave
