    'The Process' ???

That's my biggest bugbear. I don't have the amount of images that lots of photographers have, as I tend to go through phases, but it's the tagging and how to retrieve via tagging too, that is the biggest one. Of course, I have loads of folders on the laptop, marked 'Cyprus July 2025', 'Ian's...

    'The Process' ???

Thank you everyone, for your replies. Very much appreciated. So a high res TIFF is the way to go, I think then, plus obviously now also hang onto RAW files, which is something I didn't used to do

    'The Process' ???

Afternoon all, I'm interested in seeing how others process their files out of the camera. I am using an Olympus OM1 mkII with 'ORF' files. I open them in DXO Lab and carry out my processing, then save to a folder on my laptop, as jpegs. I then drop them into Adobe Bridge as I like that as a...

    Selling On Ebay

Images yes, serial numbers, did not think of it. Well it's all done anyway - paid for, delivered, money sent to me etc so all good I think that maybe whoever is buying has an algorythm thingy set up so that every time an item falls into that spec, it buys it. Either way, i'm happy as now the...

    Selling On Ebay

I would not even entertain that one - you can specify in your listing that people with less that 'x' amount of feedback need not bid

    Selling On Ebay

Im hoping so Nod. I can't see any way they can somehow get their money back now that it's in my bank account. One of my more cynical friends suggested it could be a scam and money laundering, which obviously worries me, but I have the money and they have the lenses so I see the deal finished...

    Selling On Ebay

Hope this is ok as wasn't sure where to post this. I have very recently sold all of my Canon lenses on Ebay. I listed a few of them last week and they sold within minutes of listing and I was happy with the price I got. Lenses posted, lenses recieved and feedback left. I had to go through...

Cutting Down On Weight Of Equipment

Cheers Nod, Ironically the 90mm is about 1.5 times the weight of the 60mm, but I think I'd have to trade that off with the 2:1 macro ratio, but still weighs less that my Canon RF 100mm Macro, so going in the right direction

Cutting Down On Weight Of Equipment

Thank you so much everyone, fornall of your in-depth replies. It's actually been quite overwhelming with this amount of information to read and digest. That said, I am very likely to gey an Olympus OM1 mkII, and a few lenses. One lens I am not sure on, is the macro one. What's folks opinions...

Cutting Down On Weight Of Equipment

Morning all, I'm am seriously thinking about selling all my Canon camera gear, and replacing, to cut down on the amount of weight that I'm carry when out for a day's photography. I know I can be a bit more selective on what I take depending on what genre of photography I am looking at on any...

    Lens Filters - What's Needed?

Thanks very much for this Garry. I'll have a read. To everyone else, as ever, thanks again for your help. I have various Canon RF lenses, so different step up rings will be needed. 16-35, 24-105, 70-200 will likely be the ones, so I'll get looking at sets and what's needed to attach to my lenses

    Lens Filters - What's Needed?

Thanks so much for your in-depth replies. They are very helpful and given me lots to think about. I might invest in some magnetic circular ones as I do think it best to keep a set in my bag. Maybe also get a set of step up rings to accommodate my lenses. I think that I'd only need 3 and they...

    Lens Filters - What's Needed?

Afternoon all I really want to get back into my landscape and seascape photography this year, as I have been so lazy and need to inspire myself once again. On the subject of filters, I'm after recommendations on what's a decent one out there at the mo, but also what's better? Do I go...
