I recently got Understandign Exposure by Bryan Peterson. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Understanding-Exposure-3rd-Edition-Photographs/dp/0817439390/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336755471&sr=8-1 It's a brilliant book with really good explanations of how things like ISO, Exposure, and Aperture work together.

Well, it's worth signing up for this forum for this thread alone. I've been wanting to do a course, but have been dubious about online ones. Looking at this thread I feel a lot more confident in signing up. Can anyone tell me what you need equipment wise please?

Hi everyone. I'm Shaun, 38 in Sheffield. Been messing about with a camera for about a year now. My Dad gave me his old Canon EOS 400D and a couple of lenses. I've recently upgraded to a 60D. I'm loving photography, so much that I started a blog to track my progress as I learn more.
