    Video Monitor

I use the LILLIPUT 668GL and use it attached to the camera shoe mount, although will end up on a Magic Arm. With Nikon it takes the feed soon as you go into LV mode and shows camera data on screen as well. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004VD7V54/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details I am...

    Working with a sports manufacturer

Cyprino, normally you go with option 1 and license with a price accordingly at your rates. If they insist on copyright & full rights then its up to you if you want the work. If yes and you do want the work then increase the overall cost of doing the job to reflect you giving up copyright but...

    Would a f2.8 be better ?

Only thing you could have done more is a bit of fill flash esp on the first one and a wider aperture. Theres plenty of ambient, just a bit of fill I'd say. If I am doing something like this i'd prob not go under f4. Iain

Hi Duncan, yeah its been head down arse up making a living LOL I would try UNS first, don't take this the wrong way but UNS are more 'flexible' on who they take on than SNS who use more exprienced freelancers. Iain

    Sports Photography Help!

Jamie its not easy getting into the sports market in Glasgow or Scotland for that matter, as Allan has said SNS have got their finger in most places now and the broadsheets pull from them or getty these days. With the lay offs theres even more turning to freelancing and they will have a heads...

submitting images to local newspapers, who does it?

I don't usually post on this and its your choice at the end of the day but think about it, you say some day you want to make money from it , so you think giving your stuff away for free will keep the Market going so that one day you will be able to make money from this? The reason the market is...

    Strobes. What do I need?

Hi, I don't don't know if this is any help but this shot was done with 2 SB600 with soft boxes on lightstands and triggered with skyports. I prefer softboxes to umbrellas I just think the light is better and smother, could be just me though. Exposed for the dusky sky at 1/160 @ f6.3, syncd the...

I was talking in general regards cropping for sports but yes on a D2h , you would be pretty limited. Iain

    Football Photography - D300 or D2H?

Hi , used D2h, D2hs, D2x, D300 & D700 all for sports. The D2h is a good camera for its 2nd hand price but a D300 & grip just totally blows it away. Anything over ISO 400 on a D2h and your looking at serious grain. If you can't afford a D700 then D300 & grip is the way to go. As for the...

    Weddings

Hi, its not a problem really as long as they don't stray across my lens and...and this is the big one, in group shots I need eyes looking at me, I've had occasions when uncle aurthur turns up with his D3 and you get an image of half the family looking at him and the other half at me! thats when...
