Amazingly, cleaning the contacts on the hotshoe seems to have cured the issue. Cleaned them up with a cotton bud and electronic cleaner did the job. Thanks for the suggestion of cleaning. :-)

I went in February and took my big heavy manfrotto. I never ran into trouble using it, even in Times Square at 11pm. I did use it with care though, especially in crowded areas. I'm pretty glad I did take it though. :)

Hi all, Is it possible to mix and match different heads on different manufacturer tripods? I have a Manfrotto head, but will it fit ok on giotto legs, or do they all have different ISO specs? Many thanks, Chris.

Sorry for my really late reply. Everything is right up to #4. Basically Colorworld will charge your debit/credit card they have saved on your account. You get the money from your customers directly through your paypal account. I must admit, their website could be a lot better. Sometimes...

Just to let you all know, i managed to get in touch with the ebay seller who acknowledged he had a faulty batch. He's asked for the battery back for swap out from another batch. Hopefully this one will keep ticking a bit longer. btw - i've ordered a real-i-am just incase. :)

I best save up and buy another genuine one then lol. I'd be interested in hearing from a few people who are using third-party batteries though...

It wasn't a genuine battery btw - maybe i have a dudd? No live view or videos were taken either. Do you use any non-gen ones? If so, how many shots do you get from them?

Afternoon all, Just wonder how many shots you usually get from one battery on the 5D. I've just done a studio shoot today and my battery was drained quick than i filled my 8GB CF card. I managed to get around 230 shots from one battery whereas my 50D would last for weeks on a single charge...
