That's shocking, how did they manage that! I've pretty much made my mind up, going for the 24-105L and i'll order it in june (Bonus payout that month :P) and look at a flashgun while im at it.

For me, it's not worth taking a chance with it anymore. Tamron or Sigma. I've used L series now and have a taste for it (albeit an expensive one!)

I've heard mixed reports about the 28-135 being quite soft, am i right in thinking there is two versions?

Thanks for the advice! It's pushed me towards the 24-105 so i'll keep an eye on the for sale section on here! Im not keen on the idea of other makes of lenses after a bad sigma I had! I love my L glass though!

I've been looking for a walkabout lens for my 1D body for a while but can't make up my mind so im asking for advice. It would need to be wide enough to take photos of groups of people or small buildings/scenic spots but also capable of taking half decent "portrait" shots. I say half decent...

Im useless, I cant find the sRGB profile. Im looking at image > mode > and it has a few colour profiles but no sRGB?

I've started to save my images and keep the Exif data, im working in 8-bit mode and saving as a Jpeg file.. but. when i come to upload it to flickr the colours are a mile off and come over with a green cast, although the image in photoshop looks spot on and also when you look at the thumbnail...

Battery grip for my 20D lifesaver to start off with! Then my 1D Mark 2 + 300mm f4 L.

I love my 1D Mark II and i can get away with using ISO 1000 with no major problems! As mentioned the autofocus is very quick and accurate!
