A bit of both here. If I'm going out for a family day out, it's the phone or my Canon Ixus for me. If I'm going somewhere scenic or on my own, I use my dslr.

Jumping on this myself. I don't post very often, but I'm retiring at Christmas & will be able to dust my camera down & spend more time taking photos. I've just set up two step verification. I wouldn't mind having access to the classifieds section again, thanks.

I bought a Canon 10-18 second hand lens from them, was described as excellent, and it could have been passed off as a new one, it was that good. I would have no hesitation in buying from them again.

You certainly save yourself a few bob buying second hand. Most of mine are second hand, bought from reputable, well known online camera shops. All came with a warranty & I paid for them with my credit card, to get cover if anything went wrong, which it didn't.

If you had seen the size, & depth of the chip, you may have agreed with me. But you didn't, did you? I don't class myself as stupid either, but you do seem to be a little on the rude side.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I've no doubt at all that whatever caused the chip on the uv filter would have hit the lens glass, it really doesn't take much working out.

A few years ago, I had a walk down the local beach & I had my Canon 55-250 lens on the camera. When I got home, I noticed a nasty chip on the UV filter. no problem, I got another filter & I've no doubt that the filter saved my lens glass from being chipped.

I was in the same boat a few years ago, & was advised to buy filters to fit the biggest diameter lens that I've got, & step up rings to fit my smaller diameter lenses. Apparently, there's a risk of vignetting if you go from small/large.

I've just been on Wex's website & it's loading very slowly.

I got very excited when I removed part of the wrapping paper on the cup.

I've ordered one of these nd stoppers myself & it will be my first one. I've seen some nice photos taken with these on a fb group & I'm sure that it will let me take my first steps in using & learning about nd photography.
