Warm and waterproof clothing and something to sit / lie on, phone, midge net and insect repellent (west coast of Scotland and Highlands), chocolate and car keys.

    Shaving weight

Weight of camera gear has never been a problem for me. My heaviest lens is just over 3kg and I hand hold that or use a monopod.

    Big cats last sat BBC1?

There is also a normal leopard leaping from a huge height onto prey in Planet Earth III. Truly stunning.

    Noise, what do you use

I have used Topaz Denoise and Photo AI, but now mainly use LR Denoise. I agree that Topaz files can get huge

    Heat.

Down to freezing now. It looks like a range of -2 to +6 for the week ahead with some snow on Friday

Is this pc likely to be any good with the latest Lightroom?

Storage is cheap these days. In my opinion you can never have too much. I have 7.5TB available in my PC across 5 drives 2 NVME, 1 SSD and 2 HDDs

Canon RAW conversion, DPP or Lightroom

I have had acceptable (to me, at least) with ISO 6400 and even 16000 on a Canon 7D2 and 20000 on a 5D3. The latest version of LR or Topaz Denoise help reduce noise. Of course, you wouldn’t want to underexpose at those ISOs.

Why spend £20k when you can get an old banger for £500? People have different desires, priorities and budgets.

    New pc info

I would post the spec on the PCS forum. You will get a lot of good information about where to spend your budget. You would probably be fine with 32GB of RAM. I have no issues with LR or PS with that

    New pc info

The PSU looks a bit light. To allow future upgrades, I would go for a fully modular PSU and probably 1000W. I would also have my fastest drive for the operating system.

    A ridiculously good price for a OM1

Amazon has what appears to be an official OM-1 for £1599.

    Telephoto lens advice please

I haven’t been on safari in India, but I have been to South Africa. I think you would regret not having a long lens and a shorter lens. In Africa I had a Canon 7D2 with a Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 and almost always had a TC on. I also took a 5D3 with a 24 - 105 f/4. Both got a lot of use. Sometimes...
