    Total newbie conquered shutter speeds!

Can I make a suggestion (a bit tongue in cheek) that maybe there should be a sub section of TP for amateurs where pros only enter and offer advice if they're feeling brave enough?! It's a scary place entering the underworld of amateurs looking to make a bit of pocket money to fund their hobby...

    Total newbie conquered shutter speeds!

Oops, sorry didn't mean to slander anyone! Maybe "friendly nature" would have been more appropriate! I agree about the reason for joining (well apart form making money). All I want to learn is how to get the most out of my photos, however reading the negative posts can be quite...

    Total newbie conquered shutter speeds!

I wonder if the OP had just asked for advice and not explained why whether she'd still have had stick from pro's? If a pro was selling photos of a gig to a magazine and got asked to submit a small review (for free and we'll publish only if it's decent) whether they'd refuse "oh sorry, can't...

Printing from Lightroom to HP D7260

Working on this... I had a post a few weeks ago where people recommended which to get, now just need to sort the finances out and work out how to sneak it past the wife  Will check this to ensure that they both match, thanks for the reminder.

Printing from Lightroom to HP D7260

I've recently bought a HP D7260 Inkjet printer and have also recently started using Lightroom. Some of my prints haven't been truning out as expected when printing to HP Advanced photo paper and I wondered if anyone used the same 3 variables (HP D7260, Lightroom and HP Advanced Paper) and...

How do I create this Readybrek effect?

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll have a play around and see what I can come up with. The biggest challenge will probably be getting a shot of my daughter in her ballet outfit and smiling!! (the footballer was just an example, I'm planning to do a pink readybrek effect on my photo)

How do I create this Readybrek effect?

I've recently seen an image of someone playing football where the image has been edited to give the player an almost ready brek type glow! When I first saw it, I wasn't that keen, but it has grown on me - to an extent that I thought I might try and do a similar thing to a photo of my 3 year...

It wouldn't hurt, I guess! Thanks for the suggestion

Problem printing A4 from CS3 to HP D7260

Thanks Bill. I did try "normal" A4 and borderless and couldn't get either working properly. In fact I think if I picked "normal" A4 then it set margins, which made it worse. Ideally I'd like to print from the product I'm working in, either Photoshop or Lightroom, exporting to another...

Problem printing A4 from CS3 to HP D7260

I might have mis-understood, but I have been able to print an image to A4 using the borderless option, i.e, no white space at all on the paper. Note this was printing the image from Lightroom. The problem occurs when I try and print a separate image to A4 from CS3.

    New 350D for £200, Good deal ?

also, one of the pics is off the 400d, so be wary as to what else they're saying just in case it doesn't apply to the 350d. Might be as well to look in the classifieds on here just in case there are any (note, I'm not promoting / selling anything, I'm more than happy with my 400d!)

Problem printing A4 from CS3 to HP D7260

Hi James, Thanks for replying. I'm using PC and printing from within Photoshop CS3 - I'm not aware that I'm setting a border anywhere?!
