    Sigma 500mm f4 sport.

This is very true and it's very easy to use. I have the software but living in a flat, I lack space to calibrate a 500mm. Longest I can go is 200mm

I cannot recommend Cameracal enough. Been there a number of times.

    Step Ladders for race circuits

Thanks for your input guys. As I'm quite clumsy, I decided to go for a 600x600 platform type so I will have more room to move around.

    Step Ladders for race circuits

Thank you. That's the type I was looking at, just didn't know how secure or stable they were while panning.

    Step Ladders for race circuits

After my last unsuccessful trip to Brands Hatch due to the amount of fencing that is now there, I'm looking into some form of step ladder. Those of you that use one, what do you use or recommend? I'm looking at more of a platform type that is 500mm high with the platform dimensions of 600mm x...

Or the smaller wire fence stopped you from getting near them which made them pointless.

My god, talk about photographer unfriendly. Think I'm going to have to invest in a set of steps, you can't go anywhere for a decent shot. Fences are far too high.

    Master of Photography is back

Thanks for the heads up, seen all the others. I just wish they mixed it up a bit, like having landscape one week, then wildlife the next, transport the next and so on. Or is just me that thinks that?

If on a full frame, you could get some nice wide shots on the inside of Druids.

That's great, thank you very much for your reply. I will be taking full frame and cropped but decide what to use depending on the weather when I get there.

    Brands Hatch GP Circuit

I'm heading to Brands Hatch for both days this weekend for the Historic Masters. They will be using the GP layout which I've never been round before and I was wondering if there is any spots where you can use a 500mm prime? Or shall in just stick with the 100-400 for convenience? Many thanks

Do you use lens straps on walkabouts for big zooms ?

I use the strap that came with my Canon 500mm mkii and use the strap loops on the lens itself.

    Monopod or no monopod?

Cheers guys for your advice. I won't get my hopes up too much for this season anyway, as a wildlife photographer I might be terrible at it. I will see how it goes and may look in it for next season that's if I'm still with the team.

    Monopod or no monopod?

Second from the bottom or is there different types of public liability insurance?

    Monopod or no monopod?

Thanks for your input. If I can find a track that I can use the 500mm at, then I will take it but it will take visiting the circuit before hand or one ive been to before to find out. Yes, kit is definitely insured, as for trackside I'm not sure. I'm insured with Eversure who do cover PLI.
