Can't comment on Skomer but 300mm is a great size lens for machloop you will be fine on both sides of cad ok on the bwlch and bluebell but you will need a longer lens for corris corner just remember they don't fly at weekends

What setting would you recommend for low level aviation photography ?
im looking for a not to expensive backpack capible of taking a 60D with 400mm f/5.6 L USM i aso want to be able to get all my waterproof and buttybox in any recommendations ?
in my old kit that im replacing i had a 14-55mm lens 40-150mm lens and a 70-300mm lens i found the first 2 lens ok for everyday use but the 70-300 wasn't up to the job up the loop so ive took the plunge and invested in the above canon equipment
ive took the plunge of gone and bought myself a Canon 60D + Canon 18-55mm IS II Lens for everyday photo's and a canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM lens for the machloop what other lens would you recommend
