Hi I've just purchased a Bowens Esprit 500w kit for my new studio, but unsure what to use for lighting the backdrop. Got money to spend but don't want to go crazy. Also want something that's reliable and won't break down every 2 mins. All comments and suggestions appreciated.

Well, I have done some extensive research on the HDEW company and I can't see any bad word about them. Now then, has anybody ever made a claim through them?

The pin was stuck down, tried to get it to come out but sounded like a spring snapping noise and that was it.

I removed the plates but the pins are stuck. I don't want to break the plastic cover on top near the built in flash. Any ideas please?

Right, found the problem. There is play between the hotshoe/st-e2 connectors. All I do now is just make sure that either the flash or st-e2 rests against my head somewhere when shooting, so it canpush it onto the connectors properly. Sorted. Still have full power emitting from the flash...

Checked them all mate and shots at any angle. Seems a common problem searching on google.

430ex2 mate. I do suspect that there is something wrong with the flash too, as when it's on the camera body, it will emit full power sometimes for 2 or 3 shots without reason.
