I prefer to use 2 or 4GB cards, but fast ones are hard to come by now.
I've never had a card fail as such, but did have one card throw up a few corrupt files last weekend at at event & that was an 8 month old Sandisk bought from Jacobs, so not exactly a dodgy source. Luckily running twin cards...
wider aperture lens would help.
I had wedding last weekend & had to shoot at ISO1600, f2.8 to get useable shutter speeds during the ceremony without flash.

I thought about making my own, but thought it would make me look tight if I didn't do a professional looking job with it, which there was no guarantee so I bought one instead.
I use The Gem Collection mounts & get them from Maple Framing. Not the cheapest, but really nice quality & coloured on the back as well, which adds to the quality feel IMO.
Other than that I've used the Kenro ones, which are quicker to use if volume usage & speed are an issue.
I wanted to buy a second hand one, but there are very few about & was a bit dubious as to why they were up for sale.
In the end I bought a new Mitsubishi 9800DW & it's been fantastic.
