Info on Sony Cameras A and E mounts

that's the sort of question i hope to answer. i could buy the 5dmkiv with current funds along with one of the two offered kit lenses (the updated 24-105 or the 24-70...) Or sell everything canon and buy a new sony body instead - using the same money originally for a new dslr and then seeing what...

Info on Sony Cameras A and E mounts

I think the sony camera(s) are offering a lot more in terms of DR and resolution, along with built-in IS. If I was starting over again, i'd choose the sony ones, but the issue is giving up glass and flash I currently have and not knowing how far i'll get in selling my current stuff and buying...

Info on Sony Cameras A and E mounts

HI all. I've currently got an all sony set up (1ds MKII) and various canon only lenses, a 580exII flash, and also a metz 76-mz5 flash gun. I've been toying with the idea of going for the 5Dmk IV as I inherited some money and had always said to my mom i'd use any money to buy a new camera for...

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Owners Thread

Hi there. the announced lenses to be sold as kits are both the f4 versions, so the 24-70mm IS is an f4 and the 24-105 IS is also f4. It's the f4 L version I have currently which I refer to now as the mk 1 :) so based on it being an l lens, will the updated version offer 'much' more quality...

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Owners Thread

I am seriously considering the 5d4 to replace my rather aged 1dsmk2 (not least of which struggles to focus in low-light). I already own the 24-105IS lens, but i think it's mk1 - my choices come down to: camera only camera + updated 24-105 camera + updated 24-70. Is the 24-70 better in...

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Owners Thread

VAT not important but for initial warranty or purchasing of subsequent extensions. Also, registering it on Canon (uk?) site as owned gear, insuring it and getting it serviced by canon (e.g., like if there's a recall).

About http://www.e-infin.com/uk/ how are guarantees/problems handled within the UK? Are these 'grey' imports? UK chargers?

Canon 1D X Mk II Owners Thread

I have a 1ds MkII and due to a small inheritance pot , i might be allowed to treat myself to a new camera. I tend to do family/event shoots but hobbywise, travel/sightseeing (architecture and historical). I'm looking to see how much of an improvement over the 1dsmkii the 1dxII would be. focus...

Pentax K-1 (from Canon) - Tempted

Hello all. I've been a Canon user (?) for 20+ years as a hobbyist mainly, with the odd wedding thrown in here or there. All the cameras and lenses I've bought, have been 2nd hand and I currently have a 1ds Mk2. I've been very interested to read some of the early thoughts (reviews and image...

    Lightroom 6

on LR6 using the options for full, level, etc, lens filter adjustments, for those photos that are going to be used for a panorama, is it better to not bother with the adjustments at all, or better to make the adjustment and then do the panorama? for certain, putting them all tigether first and...

    Lightroom 6

Hi - I took the plunge last night anyway - the upgrade price of £59 was reasonable enough. Not had a chance to see anything (apart from the MAP page) that looks different to 3 - guess it's all under the bonnet (hood).

    Lightroom 6

clarity exists in 3.6 (along with hue and saturation). the highlights (low, mid high) tones are also there, but I was watching the video earlier about removing ISO noise when pushing the exposure...it's not something I'd seen before and would be of use..
