Mine should be waiting for me when I get home this evening. I'm hoping the weather us half decent tomorrow so I can put it through its paces. Next purchase - a flash for it!
Thanks Ron.
The camera has a few outings planned already - I've my Daughters prom coming up next week, and 8 of her friends and family are gathering at our place before being limo'd off to the Prom. The olympic torch will be passing through the town next Friday, and a holiday planned for...
Many thanks for the quick replies, and the heads-up on the grey import issue.
Looks like I'm back at Jessops/Amazon and a few others who are pricing around the £650 mark - unless anyone knows of any good deals on new kit?
Thanks again.
Evening all.
I'm on the hunt for a D90, and noticed that Pixmania are selling the 18-105 kit for £605 inc delivery. It seems a good price, and is a good £40 cheaper than others, but not having used Pixmania before, I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experience of them...
Unfortunately, its in Cambridge so viewing would be difficult. I've decided to pass on this one, as I don't mind buying remotely if I know the seller - but in this instance I don't. If anyone local to Cambridge is interested, I'm happy to pass on the details.
Thanks for the reply.
I guess the warranty is worth paying for - I'd hate to pay out £500 only to find out I'd bought a box full if problems!
Cheers, Dean.

The show was great on Wednesday - I'm sure loads of picture opportunities presented themselves other than in the arena - dog and cattle showings, loads of craft stalls, vegtable & flower displays, and the funfare (which my kids spent a fortune on). Certainly the better day for weather - I...
Also do a search for local gun clubs/ranges. The majority are on private land, so the general public taking an interest is less of an issue. Have a chat with the club/range chairman or safety officer - they should be able to offer some advice.
Thanks for the welcome. I'm working my way through the forum at the moment, whilst enjoying a cool drink outside. The bats are out, and they are fantastic to watch swooping down.
This forum has been recommended on a couple of woodworking forums, so I've joined to hopefully improve the pictures I take of customer projects. Its also a good time to join, as my current compact camera has closed its shutter for the last time - so I've decided to get myself a DSLR.
I've...
