This is a pretty decent bit of kit. Missing an SSD though - £100 gets you a 256GB one if you're comfortable adding one yourself. Apart from that the spec should last you for a good few years.

Make friends with an usher (with a loud voice) or someone who knows the family / friends early on - invaluable when you start doing group shots. Have a clear list of shots / groups agreed in advance so you can rattle through them as quickly as possible. Although every wedding has to have them...
So over the weekend I had a play with both the Sony a6000 and various Olympus OMD cameras. Preferred the Olympus overall. Jessops are currently doing a runout deal on the OMD E-M5 bundled with 3 x lenses for £750...
Do you have either of the kit lenses? Does the 16-50mm make a good carry round lens? Also wondered whether the pancake 16mm lens might be handy to make it ultra-portable...
I nearly picked up one used the other day with a twin kit lens pack (16-50mm + 55-210mm), I think I'd still want to get a prime to go with this for portrait type shots / low light etc. Do I want this one...
Haha, just had a mooch through that site - quality. It's a fair point you make. I wonder how many 'misses' they have to wade through afterwards to find the sharp action shots though?
Ah, the very next comment! That's interesting - do you have one? I watched this shoot-out video last night and was impressed: https://www.youtube.com/embed/up8K_xd_iwU
Which lenses would you recommend for it? I'd probably want to end up with (not necessarily straight away) a small carry round...
Yes, the X-E2 is starting to become really reasonable used. I wonder how soon a replacement is due, I don't really need to act for a few months yet.
From reading round last night I'm also considering a Sony a6000 - gets good reviews, not sure about their lens ranges though.
Here's a couple of comparison shots which show what I mean (not the most inspiring or creative shots in the world I realise - don't judge me!), first taken with the Fuji, second taken with iPhone 6. It was a really bright sunny day and the iPhone shot is by far the more accurate representation...
I'm not 100% sure how they ended up there, I think it's due to the way the iOS devices handle local photos & what used to be called photostream (cloud synced merge of photos from all devices), either way - it's done now, my iMac is the 'master' and has multiple dupes of the most recent 1000 or...
I went ahead and took the plunge without reading the label first and migrated from iPhoto (on multiple Macs) to the new photos app. I've ended up with a load of duplicate images. Has anyone come across any dedupe software that works with Photos yet - all the iPhoto ones (MacPaw Gemini et al)...
