Neckstrap definitely for me, however it's rarely round my neck when I'm carrying the camera. I have it over my shoulder more often for carrying, and over neck for shooting.

I'm terrible for this kind of thinking! I find my self thinking, there's not enough light at this time of year! Then I find my self thinking, in summer, that there is too much light. Then I realise I need to stop whining and start clicking! And yes Garry, currently chairs are killing me! :bang:

F8 with the 2x could also you mean you'll need fairly decent light to shoot anything that moves. Also the Canon ones are fairly pricey (but debatably better quality), I saw somewhere recently that Jessops had the Sigma 1.4 extender on for something like £50.
