Photomatix is great. Just remember to check the contrast and levels when you're done. I find it can leave pictures a bit soft. Or maybe I just use it wrong :D

Thanks for those What I was trying to say is that when I rotate the focus ring at any zoom between 100mm and 200mm, the focus doesn't go beyond 3m (and if it's already at infinity then it doesn't move at all). The ring turns, but the internal focus doesn't change. If I return to the zoom below...

Does anyone else have this problem? When the lens is zoomed in to beyond 100mm, the lens won't focus (the focus ring turns but doesn't turn the internal focus). If I zoom back to under 100mm, it's fine again. I am using it with a D200. Any ideas?

This may or may not help... but I had a D40X and upgraded to the D200 mainly because of the focussing issues with the D40. I hate paying a premium for a lens with a small market (so it's more expensive) and the weight issue (the built in focus lenses are heavier). Good nick D200s are going for...
