:bonk:
Scrub this question, I've found the problem.
I have 3 studio flash units. An ancient Jessops PowerFlash PR400 and 2 prehistoric Jessops PowerFlash MD10s. I was firing the PR400 with the D80 and trying to fire the MD10s with the D300.
The PR400 works fine with the triggers but the...
I got some of those cheap wireless triggers (1 transmitter, 3 receivers).
I tried them 1st with my D80 (transmitter on the hotshoe, 1 receiver connected to a studio flash via the jack plug included). Worked fine, no problem.
I just tried them with my D300 (similar set up but with two...

At 200 quid it's just about in budget. What do you guys think?
Short list so far:
Nikon 60mm f/2.8D
Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro
Tamron 90mm
Sigma 105mm
Extension tubes and use my 50mm f/1.8
I do have the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, I hadn't considered extention tubes, I'll have to look into that. I did try a reversing ring but gave up after the 1st attempt.
Thanks.
Macro photography is not really my thing but I would like to give it a go. Besides, sometimes I just need to get that little bit closer than I can with the lenses I have.
What I'm looking for is a 1:1 macro lens that won't break the bank but still produces a good quality image. I guess I'm...
No. Never did invest in a second back. But I'm going for all or nothing with the Bronica shots, if the light's not right, the shutter won't fire.
Thanks to all for the advice. Ektar 100 wins hands down, it seems.
Sorry, should have explained. I'm one of those sad people who thinks that cameras themselves are aesthetically pleasing to look at. I'm going to put some old cameras on display, in a cabinet.
Hi.
I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times before, but I went back a few pages & couldn't find exactly the answer I was looking for so here goes:
I haven't shot on film for a few years now. I'm off to Edale next weekend and I'm taking my Bronica SQA with me to put a couple...
Sorry for cross-posting. I've asked the same question in the Macro Forum, but that's in the photo critique section, so I think I should have posted it here in the first place.
I've never really been into macro photography, but I thought I would buy a reversing ring and have a go just for a...
I knew before I posted that I was in danger of trying to "tell my granny how suck eggs". Over 100 weddings makes you more experienced than most pro wedding togs!
Good luck with the shoot. I'm sure you won't need it.
Looking at the quality of the pictures on your website, I'm sure you'll do a great job.
I would like to offer one piece of advise: Practice using fill-in flash if you're not used to doing it.
