Going to a car show at the weekend where hopefuly it will be bright and sunny. want to try and get the best photos possible and just wondering what kind of filter is best to dim the rays from the sun down abit? is it a grad filter? also wanting to use it for getting some slow shutter of water...

Just tapped the top and then pressed in abit when sliding the diopter down and bang came into focus!!

when i move the diopter the screen in the viewfinder just move about abit but the writing or the focus points dont get any clearer. if this is covered under warrenty will i have to send my camera away ?
i have a samsung pixon and it has an 8mpixel camera which is great quality with F2.6. f=4.6mm auto focus, has a good flash, face detection, smile detection, macro, decent zoom and loads of other features such as panorama etc.

by electrical contatcts do you mean the metal bits that are on the side of the lens when i detatch it from the body of the camera? just rub this with a cloth?

yeah will have a look in the manual when i get home first. strange how its just started todo it for no apparant reason! did i need to send anything off to get the warranty because thinking about it i havent. but have all the bits, warranty card etc in my box at home.
i got it form argos so dont think they will be able to help. but i do still have the warrenty yeah, would this type of thing be covered under the manufacturers warrenty?
Is this the sliding button next to the eye piece? even when i move that up and down the text doesnt come into focus!! i though it might be my eye but a friend has also tried it and its the same for him:'(
