I'm happy that you got published and not meaning to put down your pics but how do you know someone actually 'rated' it and didn't just decide to use it because it was free and the ones he actually rated were from people who wouldn't give them for free?
As Ken said, important bit is keeping the camera face down, you are going to get wee bits of stuff flying about almost everywhere but keeping the open area facing the ground will minimise the chance of getting any kack inside.
Hi Andy , you can create that effect in camera by zooming in or out while taking the shot but in this particular shot you have posted I think it will have been most likely done using editing software as it's a very difficult technique to use to good effect on a moving subject.
For me to get...
Glad I could help. I'm not sure what you mean about stacking them sorry  You mean take a seperate shot each of the moon and Jupiter and then combine them to get both in same shot? if so, aye that would work.

Never used the Sigma 150-500 but regularly use my Sigma 50-500mm for bird pics if you want another to consider and have no complaints about it at all. Consistently produces nice sharp images and focuses extremely fast and quietly.
I know it's never going to be as good as the big Canon primes...
