    at the end of the day, it's horses for courses, but at £100 pa that equates to less than £2 per week, with no initial outlay..... sounds good to me..... not free, but cheap enough, and as you say these big companies supplying a storage service online should be geared up in case anything fails on...

    Personally, I wouldn't trust backing my files up to anyone other than myself.... long term, as Paul says, the external HD with a 2nd as backup is definitely the safest option! Probably the most cost effective too.

    agree with Welshnoob, a nifty fifty is gonna pay for itself in spades for the kind of photos u want to take. Get to know your subjects with the 50mm, then a 60mm or 100mm macro come well recommended.... I have the 60mm and it is quite a lens!

    got to agree with Di, in the long term, an external drive would prove more cost effective, especially for RAW size files.

    A secondhand lens maybe an option...... I recently bought a 60mm macro Canon f2.8 from a well known auction site, and have had some decent results :)
