    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

After doing some more research I'm warming to the idea of a used R6 over a new R8.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I've been doing a lot of travelling recently so the smaller R8 body is quite a big draw over the the R6. I'd been considering a RF-S body but I'm sure I'll regret the image quality coming from a full frame body.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

I'm considering an R8 as an upgrade to a 5Dmk3, mostly for video capability reasons. Has anyone been keeping an eye on used body prices Vs the £1300ish new price, are there decent savings to be had?

Canon 5D MK3 Fault - What is Covering my Sensor?

Cheers, looks like a fun job, should be doable. Does anyone know of a UK supplier for the shutter assembly? Google only brings up AliExpress options.

Canon 5D MK3 Fault - What is Covering my Sensor?

I thought it could be a shutter flap, but they look fine. View: https://imgur.com/a/oqQ3HAX

Canon 5D MK3 Fault - What is Covering my Sensor?

Does anybody know what this is and how it might be fixed? It has suddenly appeared on my Canon 5D MK3. If you shoot portrait it slides mostly off the sensor so it is fairly loose. View: https://imgur.com/scTdxCP Cheers

    Canon EOS M Series Cameras

Mike P - I put up a wanted add in the classified section, perhaps you could post there. Price wise they are £283 + £14 hood on Amazon new, so how about £190? I'm down in the New Forest next weekend, so could collect then.

    Canon EOS M Series Cameras

I have just purchased a Canon M3, coming from a 5D mk2 that I have been using less and less due to the effort of carrying it around. I've been looking for something smaller that fits in the MTB/Sking backpack. I've got the EF-S to EF-M adapter, so can use my 11-16 F2.8, 50mm F1.4 and 100mm F2...

Good work, that looks like an awesome job.

    New desktop required

Yeah you need to think about cases when considering your cooling setup. I built a gaming rig recently for about £1300, but that includes £450 of graphics cards, so near your price range. I went for a big case to fit my cooler and to allow max cooling with minimal fan noise. Self building is very...

I would also go for something like a Noctua NH-D14 or Corsair H80i cooler instead of the stock intel setup. Much more efficient and quieter.

    Lacking in the compacts department.

Amen to that. I use a Canon S90 as a cheap carry around, but 28mm is soooo not wide enough. A fixed 20mm lens would be much better.

    My new gaming/ photo PC

Yeah going for the 4GB due to running 3x 1080p screens for the sim rig :-) The 860i looks like a lovely piece of kit ... £170 on a PSU though, ouch that is a lot!

    My new gaming/ photo PC

I've been following this thread closely because I am soon to be building a photo editing/triple monitor racing sim rig. Which version of the 770 are you going to go for? I'm toying with either a 4GB MSI 770...

    Win7 m-SATA

Mine is a bit of a beast, so I have a Samsung 830 128GB SSD as my boot drive, the 256GB MSATA SSD as my video/photo editing scratch disc and games drive and then a traditional storage drive. Works a treat :-)
