GazBower
Hi my name is Gaz and I am originally from Sheffield in South Yorkshire. I spent 20 years in South Africa from the age of 16 years old. I have been interested in photograph since 1980 when I bought a Ricoh KR5 35mm SLR with the standard 50mm lens and added a 80-210mm zoom lens. The landscape and wildlife photography in Africa are second to none and I had a great time travelling with my camera gear. I even bought an enlarger and lab gear to process my own photo's in my makeshift darkroom (the back bedroom with black bags up at the windows). Kind of fell out of love with it for a few years in the 90's due to the cost of film and processing.
Fast forward to 2008 and the purchase of my first DSLR the Sony Alpha A200 and I found my MOJO once again. Since then I have bought the Sony A580 and just recently the Sony Alpha A77 SLT. I still own the A200 and my wife uses it now when we go out walking etc. and it is still going strong and giving great 10MP images and all my lenses still fit it, so that's a bonus.
Just recently I have taken up studio photography and bought a set of continuous lights and a set of Lencarta Studio Lights, converted the garage into a studio of sorts. So if you are local to me in South Yorkshire and are interested in studio work get in touch and lets have a chat.
