I think I'll take the lens out for a test and see if I'm happy with the photos it takes since it sounds like both the DG and non-DG lens are practically the same. Then if I'm not happy with it, I'll send it back. Not been on the forum in a long time and you've all been a great help...

Yup, The seller advertised as the DG model and then listed all the specs for the DG. The DG has a 67mm filter thread and the non-DG has a 77mm thread. Good job I haven't bought any filters yet!
