I once spent an hour and a half trying to get a 120 onto the reel in the dark bag. Other times it's about 30 seconds!
For 135 I leave the film in the can so I can start the leader onto the reel in daylight, then finish it off in the bag.
If you want really lightweight and compact, I use a Nikon 40mm micro on my D7000. It's more of a very good close up lens than what you'd be used to as macro, though.
Read Ken Rockwell's review.
I like instax, I have a wide and mini cameras.
I did an experiment last year, I gutted out a duff mini and fitted a lens unit from a Zeiss Ikon Nettar to it. The pictures were better quality than the Fuji 'lens', but had quite a bit of vignetting.
After that I made it into a pinhole camera...
The problem with new film cameras is there are still tons of old ones around in perfect working order for a fraction of the price.
Still, I hope any new ones are successful though.
I remember reading in AP somewhere around late 1990s about a lorry being stolen with a few thousand Contax T2s in it.
Does anyone else remember this? Always wondered if they were ever recovered.
Can't absolutely swear to it, but on some amazon deliveries it sounds like they're trying the front door handle before ringing the bell.
Anyone else noticed or suspected this?
With my phone I use it either way up, whichever suits the scene best.
With a DSLR I try and avoid portrait orientation as much as possible. Most of my viewing is on a monitor, and I don't much like looking at a small vertical image in the middle of the screen.
Well this is embarrassing! Had a look and found plenty of light sealing on the inside of the film door.
Dunno how I missed it, I usually know my cameras inside out but managed to fall down this time.
At least I know where to get some new ones when I need them now.
Cheers.
I'll have another look tomorrow now that I have some idea where they're supposed to be.
I know the viewfinder has them, saw a video saying they can affect focusing if not the correct thickness.
Thanks for the replies.
Looking at various Mamya C TLRs on ebay, a few of them say they need new light seals. I can't find any on my C220, so am I missing some? Where are they supposed to be?
Never had any problems with fogging, etc.
I finally clicked on it this weekend out of curiosity. Quite pleased that it sorted out a couple of Windows problems for me.
I've been writing python programmes and was having problems with one which wasn't writing files when it should.
So I cut and pasted 200 lines of my scruffy long-winded...
Had a look in my local CEX in brum. I thought they were well overpriced. Ancient grubby Ipads for brand new prices, and the camera gear was higher than the most optimistic ebayer would ask for.
