Unfortunately for me, and many others, the new " Object Selection Tool" is missing.
And this fix didn't work.

This wasn't rushed out.
Canon have been working on it for some time and even announced the update weeks ago.
I've read elsewhere there may be other issues.
This is totally unacceptable.
Someone needs sacking. :bang:
Drag and drop worked for me.
I'll have a look for some old Neoscene converted files and try it out on CS3.
I had no problems with the Neoscen files on the old Dell.
If I hadn't decided on a quad core build I would have bought Neoscene.
I tried Sony Vegas on my core duo Dell and it was the same as Premiere ......... couldn't play the source video in real time and therefore was a b****r to edit the in and out points.
Joan, this might be a daft question but did you use the 64bit plug in or the 32bit plug in ?
Even though you have a 64bit platform PSE7 is 32bit software and needs the 32 bit plug in.
Please excuse me if this sounds obvious. :D
Also consider purging the cache in PSE7.
I had similar problems editing 5D2 footage on an underpowered PC.
An overclocked quad core solved the problem.
Before that I used Neoscene.
Download the trial version of Neoscene.
You have 7 days to convert all the footage you have before it expires.
Worked a treat on my old Dell and...
He beat me to it.
Sell the body ( camera body :D) and keep the glass.
The body will be worth sweeties in a few years but the glass will keep it's value.
CS3 Camera RAW will not support the 50D.
You will be forced to use a DNG converter or Canons own RAW converter.
EDIT : I stand corrected.
Camera Raw 4.6 is 50D compatible.
