Keep an eye on the large format forums and ebay. Bargain cameras do turn up sometimes. But to be honest, the Shen Hao would be more than enough to get started with. I know woodsy bought one recently and loves it. It will have more than enough movements to keep you happy for a good while.

They don't import the 5x4 into the UK anymore.
Incidentally, Maco Direct also sell 5x4 astia and acros, neither of which you can get in the uk anymore.
It's not overly expensive either :)
hmmm, I'm almost tempted. I'll put my name down as a possible, but my 30 minute set up time per shot might slow you down a bit. I do have 35mm cameras but I always feel slightly like I'm cheating on the Wista a bit when I use them!

Could also be;
Film flatness issue
ground glass been...
In reality, I used to have to use digital for work. With the deadlines we had to work to, it would be impossible to work with film and still make a profit or remain competitive. I would have had to do the shoot, stay up half the night developing and scanning then trying to send massive files...
