Just picked up an R5 MKII to go with my R3 and am surprised how much different custom function settings are from the R3. Something simple like turning eye tracking on and off via a custom button seems to be a PITA compared to the R3. On a plus side am loving the images from it so far.
I had the Mini 4 Pro and have now added the Air 3S as a second drone for added stability and especially with the rule change coming in 2026.
Hope to save up and get the Mavic 4 Pro next purely for the adjustable aperture.
Was surprised at the difference in build quality from the Mini to the Air...
ISO5000 with lightroom denoise on an 800 f11
My R3 is cleaner but the extra reach i get with the R7 i really like along with the pixel density for cropping in good light.
Also have my limit set at 6400 ISO
Purchased the R7 as missed having my 7D MKII and so far find its a nice upgrade on the...
Love my R3 as it just handles everything but for fun it's still the Fuji's.
So simple to use with the dials and a great conversation starter to be fair and now I have the Instax Square printer along with the X-T5 it's great giving prints out to people.
Just purchased the 18mm f1.4 to replace my 16mm f1.4 to use with an XT-5 due to the increased resolution and to be fair there isn't a great lot of difference to the point i probably didn't need to get the 18mm.
Close focus and colour contrast on it is insane to be fair but it is a fair old lump...
Anyone changed from the 16mm f1.4 to the 18mm f1.4?
Just treated myself to the latest 56 f1.2 and 18mm f1.4 and currently trying to make my mind up if i keep both or get rid of the 16mm,doesnt actually seem to be much difference in field of view to be fair but the A/F is certainly more snappy...
Had a Minolta Dynax 7D as being in Milton Keynes we had the main Minolta and Leica centres for the UK here and was lucky enough to get a good discount through a friend there.
Love that.
Oulton was one of my favourite circuits along with Cadwell for shooting British Superbikes but yet again health and safety have gone mad and made many areas Red zones.
Don't think your being over picky to be honest.
Think the materials they use now either to save money or weight just make them feel less robust.
Bit like new cars now days with plastic bumpers rather than the old solid ones you could knock a house down with and not get a dent or scratch.
The XT-5 does feel very different to my old XT-2 but then again my R3 certainly isn't built like a brick compared to my 1DX MKII.
I dont actually use a camera for work in all honesty now that needs to be out in all weathers so am enjoying all the bits of the XT-5 like battery life and the sensor...
