I have a question myself regarding the 2 lenses. If you add the 1.4 teleconvertor on the 70-200 will this make it a slower lens that the 70-300? Or does the quality of the l glass make it worth getting the 70-200 even when using the teleconvertor????????
Im gonna go for the 70-200 too (for motorsport and sport). Got a very good quote from Ian (Kerso), I recommend getting a quote off him before you decide to buy. Just need to sell my Sigma APO 70-300 now to help fund it.
Cheers Alexisonfire, great review. I bought one last week and its a great bag. I have a 400d with sigma apo 70-300 attached. You can also fit the hood on it too if you angle it but at the moment I have a couple of the smaller sections clear so I just put it in there. I dont think I have that...
I bought the sigma apo 70-300 today and im very very happy with it. Just took a pic of a high up helicopter - the sharpness and resolution seemed to be quite good and the auto focus wasnt too bad.
I guess i'm gonna need alot of luck on sunday. Just hope that over the few hundred photos...
Thanks. Is the AF on the sigma any quicker? I think the IS will be useful for other shots but mainly want to know which has quicker AF and better image quality? Or if there are any other lenses i could consider?
Hi guys and girls,
Going to tottenham court road on sat to buy a zoom lens for my canon 400d. I'll be going to the redbull air-race on sunday so I want something ideal for that reason and with a budget of £400 max.
I originally was going to buy the sigma APO 70-300.
Another lens i'm...
I'm going Kev. If you can get to London, I wouldnt worry about getting to the air race because theres plenty of london transport to the dome. I'm going to get the london underground and DLR. Tickets are quite dear though, about £53 for a grandstand seat.
