£128 for a memory card? Why is it so much?

Because its one of the best cards of that type in the world. The integral equivalent is £75 and the Sony equivalent is £197. Most people settle for slower cards which are considerably cheaper and more than enough for most people.

    CEX?

Hit or miss, but you can return items to any of the shops if you dont think the condition matches their grading

Is the x pro 2 over priced?

I really hated electronic viewfinders at first but they kept improving over the years. I understand though, some people will always much prefer optical viewfinders.

Wimberley Gimbal head seized solid onto a Gitzo systematic top plate

Thanks, can you suggest any third part plates that are good. I think i might go down that route to avoid damaging the Gimbal. The tripod is a Series 4

Wimberley Gimbal head seized solid onto a Gitzo systematic top plate

Yeah for the MK 2 version that has a simple solution, they designed it with a hole that you put an Allan key into and then use a wrench attached to the allan key so you have leverage to free it. Link me to a single video of anyone freeing a seized MK 1 version like I have in the photograph

Wimberley Gimbal head seized solid onto a Gitzo systematic top plate

I tried an expensive WD-40 product especially made for freeing seized parts but i think the surfaces are so tightly mated that it cant penetrate at all I will look into strap wrench though

Wimberley Gimbal head seized solid onto a Gitzo systematic top plate

Does anyone have any experience removing a seized solid Wimberly Gimbal head ( the older model, not the MK 2 model out now ) from a Gitzo systematic top plate ? This was a common fault in the past I think because the MK 2 version of this Gimbal head has a hole in its side so that you can get a...

    17-28 vs 16-35 - does anyone miss that 7mm?

yes usually I would miss that particular 7mm because 35mm is one of the best focal lengths but as you pointed out its not that simple and you have a 35mm prime if I read that correctly maybe try the tamron and change it down the line if you really dont get on with it

Wedding coming up - Wondering to use my Canon 16-35 f4 instead of renting 24-70 f2.8

Depends on how much you are getting paid, just a guess but with your equipment Im guessing this is more a case of mates rates at a fraction of the cost. If getting well paid then yes I think one way or another you need to up the equipment standard.

Who thinks DSLR / Mirrorles and equipment is complicated

Its really not that bad if you stick with one brand and put the time in to learn what you need to know I have once again ended up with three brands, my own fault but switching between them is tough going. I do find that Canon are the most intuitive bodies to use, and I have always felt that way.

Sony RX Series United Thread (Any RX Camera)

Sony should be charged with crimes against photographers for not releasing a new model of RX.

Who thinks DSLR / Mirrorles and equipment is complicated

You dont need to know all 400 pages at once or ever to use the 5D MK 3. I picked one up and could use it without taking the manual out of the packet, only needing to look at it for certain things. The 1D series is considerably more complicated than the 5D MK 3.
