I found in past use (on other cameras) that its a lot easier with a remote when the camera is setup on tripod particuarly in low light situations . Is there a bulb setting on the 3100 ? I have,nt looked yet .

Just wondering what you all do about flash on dslr cameras , do you make do with the built in/on flash for low light situations or use a seperate more powerful unit ? If so does it need to be dedicated or not ?

I,ve seen new bodies for around £100 more ,do lots of searching and if you find a reasonable one on ebay put it in your watch list so you can go on options and click on "view similar " you will then have a list of 50 to browse .

I thought that the D60/70/80 range of Nikon bodies had the motor built into the body as in the D90 ?

I,ve mentioned previously on here that I have a number of Nikon lenses from my film slr and have queried in body motor dslr but have been wondering, If I bought a dslr body without the motor i.e. D5000 or D3100 how difficult would it be to manual focus on a dslr compared to my old F80 and F65...
