Hi, Looking for a bit of advice on extension tubes. Is there really any difference (except for auto focus contacts) between say the official canon extension tubes and say cheap ones from ebay? Theres a massive price difference, wondering if there are any large risks?

Looking to get the Hoya HD Protector Filter (77mm), been looking around and can see a wide difference in prices, obviously I would like it as low as possible whilst getting it from a reputable seller. Any suggestions?

I have to ask, why, if the UV filter distorts the image, have filter makers not created a super clear glass filter to "protect" your lens. seems like a big market for people who want to protect their lens without adding UV filtering.
