The GF 35-70 "kit lens" is light. The GFX 100mk ii has an improved evf, the same resolution as the Canon R1 i believe. Both the original 50s and the 100s ii take the tiltable evf adapter, which i like.
I wish this thread had not reared its head again. I have had the GFX 50, 100s and 100s ii at different times and traded them because of insufficient use.
I have Canon and OM systems and am very happy with the results I get with them. However...
The Fuji gfx is really enjoyable to use. It takes...

Welcome to the club - not the micro 4/3 club but the I've got more kit and camera systems than I could possibly need club. I believe I could be a founder member. I, like you am a camera tart! I used to have the Fuji gfx system as well but couldn't justify keeping it. I do still look at...
The problem isn't really the buffer size but the fact that you cannot do anything while it is downloading IE switch pro capture off. This means that when I have cocked up and left pro capture active and shot a static subject I cannot turn it off to shoot - say a turn of the head until it has...
One thing I forgot to mention is that compared to the Canon the buffer in the OM system is painfully slow. This manifests itself when you forget to turn off pre capture and use it on a static subject. Until the download has completed you cannot turn the pro capture off. A minor detail but...
Hanley. I have the Canon R1, R5 mk 2 and the olympus system both mk 1 and two. I use both for different reasons. I love the Canons and use them when shooting my granddaughters gymnastics comps as the larger sensor handles higher ISO better. I would probably pick them for UK trips where weight...
Just an update after all of your good advice.
We eventually went for a canon powershot sx740hs as it had all the bells and whistles that she asked for. She has been using it for about a week now and loves it. She believes that it is much better than her phone, which is important as it encourages...
Thanks for your replies.
In all honesty I don't believe that she will get better use out of it than her phone. She is not happy with the images from her phone but I suspect that is user error!
She wants an articulating screen for selfies and Bluetooth/wifi transfer of images.
The sony RX 100...
I would welcome some advice please. My granddaughter will be 16 shortly and would like a small camera that she can slip into a pocket. I personally think she is better off with her phone as I don't think she will like the post processing side of a camera. I'm sure she will only shoot jpeg...
I concur with peat. I have been using the 150-400 for a couple of years. It is an amazing lens and so versatile. Unfortunately as an early adopter I paid full price. At under 5k from Cotswold cameras it is a steal.
I have also bought the new 50-200 lens which is excellent but faces more...
I received the new OM 50-200 f2.8 this week so I thought I would just pop out with it to confirm that you can't shoot sports with micro 4/3!
