I can only compare it with my slingshot, the strap is more comfortable and overall the bag is a much better construction. As to comfort over a long period the problem here comes down to weight. I've not carried a tripod yet but I think that would be quite awkward. Monopod should be fine.
I've got this bag. I'm very pleased with it and it's holding a similar amount of phot. kit to yours with one extra lens. No problem reaching "bits" at the bottom of the bag. I don't carry a laptop though and have noticed that my 85mm and 70-300mm side by side do push into the line of the laptop...
Head for Bigbury-on-Sea. Park at Folly Hill Farm, take the footpath through the farm yard. Two hundred yards and you look down on the river Avon where it joins the sea and beyond to Burgh Island. (Best when tide out).
Also, nearby, Challaborough SW footpath to the west some excellent cliff views.
