    ebay 10% off today

I ended up buying something, but it wasn't photography related :( Could have done with this when I got my X-T20!

    New Laptop

I think something with a Ryzen 5 will nail your needs. An i5 will be decent, but make sure it's the 8th generation or newer, since the cores went from 2-4, almost doubling performance in some work loads. I would say an SSD is a must - for around £500 you should be able to get a 256GB drive...

    BT good service

Nice to see - wish they were this good all the time :-)

    What are my broadband options?

Often, a single user doesn't, however, say there are 5 people in your household, all of whom are watching high res video, or trying to game etc; the higher bandwidth benefits every user simultaneously, with no obvious slow down. Speed isn't the only benefit of fibre either - on a full fibre...

    Chromatic abberration ?

As others have said, the above is noise, no chromatic aberration. You can remove it somewhat by removing colour definition, but it can result in losing detail. In the example above, it would likely help, since there doesn't appear to be anything behind the subject texture wise :)

Looking for an Android app to 'scan' documents to PDFs

The Adobe one is very decent, but Google Drive has this functionality built into it :-)

Prefer the darker blacks on the second, but the top has overall better definition in my opinion :-)

Advice on a 3 camera setup + audio please

FCP has the ability to sync audio if you use the built in camera audio too. I would have all 3 cameras recording simultaneously and then switch to the one you want in post :-)

Car buyers should have 'long, hard think' about diesel

Some diesels are looking quite enticing at the moment! You can get a 3-4 year old 330d with low mileage for <20K. It's more economic, powerful and cheaper than the 330i  :$ It does make going for a petrol that little bit more difficult

    More megapixel..better photos?

You only really need super high MP count if you're producing work ready for print (i.e. big billboards), but as others have alluded to, as you increase the number of pixels, you increase how sensitive the camera is to shake etc, hence why you need more complex OIS systems. For most people, a...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I must say, I've been very very impressed with the X-T20's JPEGs. Colours and dynamic range are excellent; for my use, I haven't felt the need to use RAW yet!

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

I missed the sale on Amazon the other day, but have been thinking about a 1st gen A7 for mostly video work; is there anything I should be careful of with these? Anything that stands out as being particularly bad?

    South-East England Hi All!

I'm getting into photography/videography/cameras a fair bit at the moment, and joined the forum with the intention of learning more and asking a LOT of questions. For photography, I do it as a hobby, but the videography side of stuff I've started doing in my job; not because I'm good at it, but...
