Does anyone use a daylight bulb?

assume you are talking continuous lighting here. The ideal seems suggest a high CRI rating. I have been using cheap 4000k cfls for a while, not up to much really. Have pondered "daylights", but for cheap high CRI, it's still tungsten bulbs for me, so far. I'll have to settle for what...

Camera Rucksack - slightly different from normal

-Lowepro Flipside 400 AW -does the job, good waist strap, cross strap. -carries anything. -pad out any space with bubble roll or similar. -winter or summer, there is always something to hand to pad out my bag. -any bag is too heavy if full of camera kit

    D200, D70s or D80

I used to have a D200, ace camera. The grip was useless, however. The little white plastic retaining clips break off real easy. Mine did, inside the closed battery compartment! That said, the batteries still worked. D200 was also quite short on battery life. So, keep a spare in yer...

    Lowepro Flipside 300 or 400?

I've used the Flipside 400 AW for years now -excellent bag. I'd consider the larger 400 AW over the 300, you can pad out any free space with hat, gloves or even a roll of bubble film! Suggest you find a shop where you can try out your kit in the bag for size. For me, as soon as a 70-200mm came...

The 24-85 af-s is quite light and versatile. "Old" version now quite cheap as newer VR model has hit the market.

    Nikon D2H?

Hi if I remember rightly, D2H was sold for speed, as a fast camera, but it was ultimately eclipsed by the D2X in popularity. Sensor size was not at the forefront of Nikon's thinking by the look of it. I did own a D200, fine camera, but where I wanted more autofocus speed, it was limited...

    Product photography

hi I do some product photgraphy. One of the most important things for me has ended up being a lens that has little or no distortion, - ie a good prime. Lighting, camera & all that goes with it, of course matters, but barrelling lines look so bad once you sit back & admire your own work. If I...

    Who has the exotic primes

I use a Nikon 300mm AFS 2 f2.8 with a range of convertors, for me, you have to be able to carry your kit to the site. Mobility is the thing for me. Then get as close as you can to the subject. I've had a monster lens and it was a pain - you can guess where . . .

    Nikon 300mm 2.8 AF IF-ED

I have the afs 2 version chosen for it's weight. The af issue never came up when I was searching out my buy. I used with a D200 too, but the lens really shone once a D3 was hooked up. They are super lenses, one day the camera upgrade will no doubt follow, when it does, you are ready!
