What and when was your first serious camera?

Mine was a Canon AE-1 in about 1979 from Dixons. With film you def thought more about your images before you pressed the trigger! I still have this camera and my lenses. Just can’t seem to part with them even with not using them for years!!

Olympus PEN E-PL8 Mirrorless Camera £150 off and free 45mm lens Jessops

Just bought this deal. Very easy to claim the lens. Ian was looking at buying the lens and as it costs about £260 brand new from Wex etc then it works out basically £40 for the camera.

That’s fine, just thought I’d let people know. We bought an Olympus 40-150mm cheap lens the other day. It turned up looking mint as description but expensive stuff I’m still sitting on the fence! Have a good Bank holiday.

They are great Snerkler. Ian and I have noticed how rich the colours are when using the Olympus. The rugby photos are looking really good using it.

I rang them on Thursday and a Jessops Customer relations assistant answered, apparently CJ are in the process of moving premises and this is why problems are occurring at the moment!

It's not you - it's me.... I've fallen out of love with my Canon system.

My husband Ian (@camera 2 post below)and myself are just changing over to M4/3 from Canon because of spinal problems. Ian now uses an Olympus OMD EM1 Mark II and I now use a Panasonic G80. @maarten.dhaese, @Cagey75, @snerkler and many others have provided us with great advice and its the best...

Thanks Maarten, Having looked at weight differences I’ve ruled the 12-100f4 out for now and also save some money! I also have the Panasonic 12-60 f3.5-5.6 so I will attach that to my G80 if I decide to take a camera myself.
