I appreciate your input and understand what your saying. This difference is noticeable in raw aswell once got on to the computer so not just on the little 3" screen.

Have a look on YouTube for reviews of the jessops flash and I'm sure you'll stay clear. They are made very cheaply and almost toy like.
By all means though go have a look at one and make your own mind up.
im after a polarising filter for my nikon (52mm) lens so that I can cut out water surface glare enabling me to take photos of fish in water.
There seems to be a few cheap filters and was wondering if these actually do the job or they just a gimmick?

Your right yeah you can get ones that will trigger from the cameras pop up flash but won't the pop up flash show on the photos? Even if I set it to the lowest power?
I like taking pictures of landscapes and outdoor wildlife but want to start experimenting in the studio. The main reason I'm looking to upgrade is the limitation of using wireless speed lights/studio lights with the D5100 not having a commander mode.
