    BAG

It looks good. i personally just use the cheapest from calumet and shove it inside my backpack. A bit annoying when it comes to changing lenes but I don't want to be seen as carry a camera with loads of lenses. Which is the images you would probably give up when using a dedicated camera bag.

Which camera is better Nikon D600 or Nikon D7100

That's a bit of a backward move, if I may say so. If you were choosing between the 2 as to which to buy, I would say buy the D7100, but you have actually swapped the D600 for a D7100? Over a few oil spot? Isn't Nikon still cleaning it for free? If you are worried about value of DSLR, there is...

    what Nikon to get now?

D7000! Just sold mine as I have recently upgraded to A D600 and don't need a 2nd body. A greasy camera and like some have already pointed out, it's very cheap at the moment. Funny enough, I was keep an eye on the 2nd prices for a good while and it seems a lot of people at selling their D7000 for...

How about a a handmade one by a very nice young British lad? http://www.bigxtop.com/product/bigxtop-mini-messenger Never met Jordan in person, but have had some dealings with him in the recent past and have nothing but good words about him. or else have a look at some Chrome bags with some...

    d700

Isn't it the same way as other DSLRs? If so, I usually take a pic, upload it on Flickr and go to the exif data, and somewhere halfway the data list, there is the shutter count. Or if you are a Mac user, you open the latest pic you take using Preview - Tools - Show Inspector - More Info (2nd...

Nikon D800 next for me..any downsides from owners?

Hasn't the D800 also have some issues with the dust? I was just talking to the guys at Fixation and they said the problem with dust is just as bad on the D800 as it is on the D600. Admittedly, there is probably some sort of design flaws with the D600 but the dust problem is caused by the huge...

Buying advice needed 6d vs 5d MKIII

I would love the mark 3 but could never justify buying it as I don't work commercially. I think you also need to consider what kind of output you want? Both FX bodies will allow you amazing end results.v No doubt the mark 3 is probably one of the best cameras out there at the moment but is it...

erm... the mirror on my D600

the mirror is a front silver coating mirror. I have just sent the camera in for a sensor clean this morning as it's cursed by the D600 spot issue anyway and they said they would clean the mirror as well. Due to my very short sighted-ness mean that I can see things very clearly up close, I am...

erm... the mirror on my D600

I am sure I have read somewhere that mirror isn't just a mirror. I could be totally wrong here but my understanding is that if the mirror is scratched the light could get in through the scratches or holes as the silver coating has came off and therefore affect the meter reading. A similar...

erm... the mirror on my D600

I have just done it, the pics look fine, but I am more worried about the focusing and metering as the mirror doesn't actually affect the image quality because it flips up before an image is taken. Or do you mean talking a pic to check the focus and meter reading?

erm... the mirror on my D600

I should say the mirror is visually fine. And it goes without saying I will not do it again, just had one of those moments...

erm... the mirror on my D600

I have just had a moment of "I have had enough!" so I took the matter to my hands by cleaning the mirror very gently with a lens cloth to get rid of some marks on it (they have been there since day 1). Now moments of madness is over, I am beginning to think Oh ****, what if I scratch the mirror...
