    The Stop Down Button

With some old cameras when pressing the stop down button it also activates the exposure meter to give a reading when the lens is stopped down (or wide open). e.g Pentax spotmatic

Well another of my then and now shots:- A dodgy bridge o_O Konica Ft1 hex 28mm When I went back a year later Instead of erecting a guard rail in keeping with the bridge or even rebuilding a higher wall, to save money they have ruined the look of this bridge  flek 35mm Pentax S3

    On Lenses

Thanks folks for pinpointing the bridge on the map also answers and will have another look at it as it seems I'm the only one who thinks it's erm odd with very few straight lines (esp vertical).

What about the dip going downhill on the other side..unless that was angled to the water as well?

    On Lenses

Scanning some old negs and came across this shot and the house looks vertical and the bit of horizon on the water is horizontal but the bridge doesn't look right, erm can't read my writing for the 70-210 zoom I was using which could have given distortion. The canal is near to me, but if only I...

    T Factor

Well I've always mentioned, in the past, why buy an expensive exposure meter to use with a film camera when considering manufacturing tolerances for lenses and shutter speeds (esp old used cameras) and there is no guarantee a film is exactly say 200 iso..ok if lucky they might all cancel out...

    Film Prices

Well I have stacks of agfa vista in the freezer but I lose out when getting the film dev etc as they are only 24 exp and filmdev charge the same for 24 or 36 exp :(

Show us yer film shots then!

If you know your tv soaps (maybe wifes or girlfriends would know), about 12 years ago shot this acted wedding and was annoyed I only had a Tamron 35-70mm zoom and couldn't get closer to show faces ...you can't have too many lenses as you'll never know what you will come across.

    Considering a film camera

Stacks of daylight shots posted but not many at night, it's a good time of the year for night shots as it gets dark about 7 and the trees have no leaves to obscure a view e.g. a church. Anyway after about 15 years lets hope I don't cock up developing B/w film again and my night shots look good...
