    Rain covers?

In an effort to get myself out more with my camera I want to get some sort of rain cover so that a wet day is no longer an excuse. I have a Z5ii and the longest lens I use is an 18-35 with the FTZ. Other than that’s its short primes. I’ve seen people use bin/ snappy bags but I’d like...

    Getting my mojo back….?

I did a lot of abandoned buildings but they’re harder to find these days ( and at my age harder to get into )

Where to get a camera refurbished?

I was given this Koni-Omega Rapid M camera a few years ago and I did manage to use it once. However it’s been in storage since and the condition has deteriorated. I’d like to get it back up and running if possible but I’m not sure if where to send it, or indeed how much it’s likely to cost...

    Getting my mojo back….?

Thanks for all the replies everyone - lots to think about. I have actually dug out a very old MF film camera that I was gifted a number of years ago. I ran film through it once a few years ago but it’s condition has deteriorated dramatically! I think that between getting it fixed (...

    Getting my mojo back….?

I’ve always photographed so this is a hard post to write. I don’t know why but over time my enthusiasm and passion for it has drained out of me (for want of a better expression). I have a busy life ( 9-5 job, 6 kids, etc) I’m properly middle aged, and free time is a rare occurrence. I just...

Moving to a cheaper camera set up. I’m a bit lost.

I’d say the om10 mkiii looks to be within budget, and maybe the GX80. When I say low light I’m generally talking about abandoned buildings which can vary in darkness.

I do love Fuji! And looking through my last few years photos a lot were taken with an X-T2. The used prices really seem to have increased on them though.

The 9-18 looks affordable, but I would need to get used to using my tripod a lot more than I do now! Low light would be the main thing that concerns me about m43 to be honest.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It looks like the m43 angle might be a good option.

The way I’ve worked it out is If I sell and get a cheaper system I’d end up with at least £2000 after which is really needed at the moment.

Moving to a cheaper camera set up. I’m a bit lost.

I apologize in advance, this will be a long post but no-one else will ‘get it’ like the people here. Over the last couple of years due to different circumstances my time and enthusiasm for photography has waned dramatically. I don’t get a lot of free time for various reasons and being...

    17-28 vs 16-35 - does anyone miss that 7mm?

Has anyone used the Sony 16-35 Is the 16-35 that bad? Thinking back I actually owned one for a short time but I can’t really remember how it performed.

    17-28 vs 16-35 - does anyone miss that 7mm?

I will indeed have a 35mm prime, but I do like the handiness of not having to change lenses to get that focal length especially if I’m out photographing

    17-28 vs 16-35 - does anyone miss that 7mm?

I’m reshuffling systems and Im torn between the Sony 16-35 F4 ( the older one) and the Tamron 17-28. My usual kit is 35/85 primes and a 16-35 ( or the equivalent for crop) and these are focal lengths I’m ver comfortable with. However I’ve seen a lot of negativity around the older Sony 16-35...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Is the eye AF on par with other brands? I moved back to Fuji (XT3) from a Canon R6 and the good eye AF is something I do miss. Don’t get me wrong I know I survived for years without it, but it’s certainly useful to have, and would definitely tempt me towards an XT5.
