Creative filters/lenses - are they worth it?

I don't know if I'm hitting a rut, looking to change up my game, or what, but I recently came across K&F Concept lenses, and I was wondering what your thoughts are on "creative" filters and lenses? The centerfield split diopter filter looked like it might be interesting, also the 1/4 white mist...

Is AI the end of photography?

I used to get a decent amount of work shooting products, and food for restaurants. Both of these areas have netted me nothing these past six months, and AI is definitely to blame. Same as my stock photography. I suspect AI is using my old work to generate free crap for businesses. Some areas...

Adapter for the Canon R-series - what should I get and why?

Cheers everyone, that's all really helpful info and you've given me plenty to think about. Much appreciated!

Adapter for the Canon R-series - what should I get and why?

yeah, I'm getting the R6ii. I looked at the R5 but it's geared more towards video and I don't need the functionality for the price tag. Good to know it's similar to what I'm using; I'm really nervous about changing systems but my old camera feels like it's on its last legs.

Adapter for the Canon R-series - what should I get and why?

All my lenses are Canon EF mount and, seeing as I need to upgrade my old 5Div body, they won't fit the latest R-series cameras. I was going to buy the standard adapter ring, but then I've seen that Canon offer an EF-EOS R Control Ring Mount Adapter that allows users to "Programme this lens...

Client is asking for rejected files?

    They've got them already!

Client is asking for rejected files?

I've sent them a job request so they can detail the number of dishes to be photographed, the number of photos of each dish, turnaround time, required image dimensions, file types etc. From that I'll guarantee a number of edited images and explain that no unedited files will be forthcoming...

Client is asking for rejected files?

I think you're right, it does sound like a matter of education. I'll see what they come back with and quote them accordingly.

Client is asking for rejected files?

Okay, that's HILARIOUS! How did you manage that scenario? I honestly don't think it's that. The individual in question has emailed "We are looking to get a bank of assets created to use across our social platforms", and while there may be more to it, she's thus far not struck me as someone...

Client is asking for rejected files?

For clarification, I am a third party supplier and self employed. My contract includes the relevant parts of English Copyright Law and lays it out quite clearly that all photographs and the copyright pertaining to them are owned by myself.

Client is asking for rejected files?

I absolutely love this analogy. Would it be okay to paraphrase this in explaining this to my client? Although if they don't understand this I don't think in all conscience I can continue to provide services for them.

Client is asking for rejected files?

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice, and for the kind comments about my work. I have told the client that all the images that have not already been delivered on previous shoots have been deleted (which is the truth). I don't see the point in keeping RAW files of lighting test...

Client is asking for rejected files?

I've been doing some work as a food photographer for a large café in my local city. In previous jobs I have always agreed on which images get retouched during the shoot, add in a few extras, and deliver the edited images in a timely fashion. Now however, they are asking for copies of the images...
