    Thanks Kev. I guess it comes back around to preference and whether you have the time (and you remembering) to switch settings... :) Plus I guess as long as you are happy with the conversion in your photo editing software.

    Absolutely, as above, only if you have your camera configured to use maximum resolution. I tend to use a lower resolution when I am carrying out experimental shots or just working on a particular technique, or learning to use a new camera. So, would it be recommended to import all your photos into LR, even the ones that you have no plans to edit...
