Hi, I have UV filters for some of my lenses and not for another. I do not seem to see a vast amount of difference with using one compared to not. I have also seen a number of for and against arguments for using them. I understand that they offer protection for a lens, however just wondered...

Absolutely, as above, only if you have your camera configured to use maximum resolution. I tend to use a lower resolution when I am carrying out experimental shots or just working on a particular technique, or learning to use a new camera. If I am looking to do more with the picture then usual...

Thanks Stephen. Having looked into this a bit since my original post, I definitely see the benefits of using something like LR to assist, rather than relying solely on folder structure. So, would it be recommended to import all your photos into LR, even the ones that you have no plans to edit...
