    Beginner Struggling To AutoFocus (LowLightConditions)

You could try something like the Yongnuo 622TX, this is a flash controller but has autofocus assist beams - there is no need to actually have a flash involved... Edit - posted the same time as Graham above - I'm not a Nikon shooter so didn't know your camera has assist light!

Yongnuo. Confused? I certainly am! Help please.

This is what I bought as a newbie to the flash side of things - works perfectly and easy to use... Rob

    Review Help! How do I...?

Hi Adam - that is a nice watch! (I'm AIDM on TZ BTW) I'm not sure if you're using a light tent mate, but if not that really helps to avoid reflections in the crystal, (ebay cheapies are perfect). Then it's all about angling the watch to minimise / avoid reflection - using a decent light...

Spare parts for Hahnel remote shutter release

Like Jonathan says, Melgray handle spares for Hahnel - I bought a Giga Pro II from ebay and it came with the 3 pin connector when I needed the jack plug, Melgray charged £12.99 for a replacement. Rob

Crop Factor vs Full frame (a different request)

**Took so long to compose my reply that Rich beat me to it!** There is a representation of what you are after here: http://my3boybarians.com/2011/02/full-frame-vs-crop-frame-sensors-what-is-crop-factor/ Showing what the field of view would be with the same focal length for various crop...

What is your best photo you have taken in 2013 and why?

I feel like I have come a long way since I first started shooting with my DSLR in October this year. I have tried many different styles and techniques throwing myslef in the deep end by shooting only RAW and full Manual - then editing in Lightroom. Not surprisingly my favourite shot of the...

    Monitor Dilemma

I have the Dell and use it for Lightroom - I did a fair amount of research before chosing it and I would recommend it. The screen resolution is great for LR and there is plenty of gamut for my needs. I donlt yet have a calibrator, but it seems pretty good on factory settings... Rob

Thanks for the welcome Sarah. : ) I enjoyed making that shot with the guitar, I had to ignore some funny looks from dog walkers as I waded into the shallows to put it there! I edited out the stand in LR5 - an interesting, (and sometimes frustrating) learning experience that was! Rob

Lightroom slideshow titling problem - can anyone advise?

Thats odd, when I chose 'caption' only the metadata in the caption box of the photo shows, not any of the other stuff like creator etc... You could try cliking on the other text to select it, (in the slideshow editor) and then press delete - this should remove it from all your photos in the...

Lightroom slideshow titling problem - can anyone advise?

One way to do it is to add a your text into the 'caption' metadata box in the Library to the first image in your show, but make sure that none of the other photos in the show have any captions, (unless you want them to show up). Then in the Slideshow editor, click on the 'ABC' in the bottom...
