Seems there have been a few melt-down problems with the 900. Many places seem to be out of stock. Think I'll go for the Maha/Powerex C9000.

What I find surprising is that despite these La Crosse/Technoline BC 900 chargers being raved about as chargers they are an absolute PIG to get hold of. Only one place in the UK seems to stock them and they are out of stock until April. It's like they must make 50 a year or something...

Quick query. Out of UK at the moment. If I try the trial of Elements 8 then order the disc from UK (for Mac), when it arrives is it simply the case of my wife needing to give me the licence number to register the trial and convert it to fully licensed or does it work like that?

It's only for casual really. I considered the 300 f/4 but it's fixed whereas the 70-300 gives some flexibility if you don't always want 300.
