The warping shouldn't be there really, twixtor settings play a big part in the outcome, I rendered a twixtor video yesterday of a BMX trick, there is slight warping around his hands but I think that is due to having a slow shutter speed when filming. Take a look if you want...

Get the 550d. The video is professional and the stills are slightly better than the 450d. The lens kit is ok to start with, or your other option is to get just the body for around £515 and then the 50mm 1.8 lens for around £80.
