I have been having a look online and so far came up with the Canon ef 17-40mm f4 L USM and Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 EX DC OS HSM.
I would say £500 max but would be happy to spend less obviously
General photography at night yes. I would like to have the sky feature in the photos with hopefully plenty of stars to view.
For example, having a building/bridge etc in the foreground with the sky featuring and stars adding some wow factor to the photo.
I hope that makes sense.
Evening
I am wanting to get in to night photography. I own a canon 60D and a nifty 50 along with the standard kit lens.
I have a remote trigger on order and will soon be buying a tripod.
I would like a new lens, I was hoping I could get some advice on what to look for.
Many thanks
Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying the weather. :)
I have very little experience with converting to BnW and would like a little help. I keep it basic when I do convert.
I only have PS Elements 10, is this good enough to give me BnW pics that extra wow factor or would you recommend some...
Just got the 60D and more than happy with it.
For portraits and landscapes I would say this is probably the best choice out of the 3, I always thought the 7D was more for bird/sports photography. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
Also its quite a bit cheaper so extra £££ for glass and other...
Had my 60D for just over a week and I am loving it. Cant really offer much advice as the 60D is basically my first dslr. I did look at the Nikon d7000 but the 60D felt so muc better in my hand.
You can get £65 cash back aswell which I put towards the 50mm 1.8 and I am having a lot of fun.
Thanks Phil, just googling fill flash now. Would the built in flash be capable enough or should I look to purchase a flash?
I guess for the more snap shot type of shot of my kids when we are out and about I should not bother metering the sky and make sure I get the exposure right on them but...
Only recently became the owner of the 60d and so far my photos have been of my kids, mainly outside.
I have noticed that my skies are blown and lack detail so tonight I spot metered the sky and then recomposed the shot.
The sky looks great but the foreground and my kids look underexposed...
Hi all, recently became the owner of a 60D. I am wanting to do a shot but I am struggling with it. I want to take a shot of my son in bed reading a story lit by his night light. I have tried but my efforts are coming out blurred. Im guessing this is because of longer shutter speeds without a...
